Careers

Careers play an integral role in developing student pathways and preparing students for further education, training and employment.

The Careers Centre at Maryborough Education Centre provides extensive resources of relevant and current information on all aspects of post school options.

M.E.C. employs a full time careers advisor who assists students in developing all aspects of career navigation.

Students also have access to a Managed Individual Pathways (MIPS) Coordinator who assists students in mapping out their future plans.

The careers team are entrenched in the transition of students through later years and provide vital information regarding Tertiary Education and employment opportunities and requirements.

At M.E.C. we work collaboratively with the Regional Careers Development Officer and other appropriate parties to implement a Careers Program which commenced this year.

This program caters for all students from Years 3 through to Year 12 and continues to foster and develop positive relationships with local, regional capital and global communities to provide exceptional opportunities for all students.
